Rudyard Kipling's Rum Tum Tugger has nothing on this Tigger!
"When you let me in, then I want to go out
I'm always on the wrong side of every door
As soon as I'm at home, then I'd like to get about
I like to lie in the bureau drawer
But I make such a fuss if I can't get out
(from the musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on the poem by Rudyard Kipling)
This is the part of the song that rings the most true for the Rum Tum Tigger.... always on the wrong side of the door or window... when she's out, she wants in...when she's in, she wants out...
This portrait of my childhood cat, Tigger, was created from hand-painted found papers such as old book pages, maps, sheet music and homework. Each piece tells a part of the story of this special cat who used to sleep on my head every night.
